About Us

We at the Gamma Lambda Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi strive to be men of CLASS. CLASS is an acronym for the basic principles to which we all adhere:

Character

To always act with kindness, humility, and compassion towards everyone, not just those that act like you, dress like you, are a member of the same fraternity, etc.

Leadership

To be a fair and effective leader. Pi Kappa Phi is America's leading fraternity , and with the most admired and copied leadership programs on a national scale, we've proven it. You don't have to be an executive or a committee chair to be a leader. Here, all members are encouraged to lead in any capacity.

Academics

To be committed to scholarship. This is, after all, why we're here. We place the greatest emphasis on success in the academic endeavors of our members. This is especially true of associates. UMR is very challenging academically, and we want to make sure our incoming freshman start off on the right foot.

Service

To serve the community whenever possible. Pi Kapps Have a unique opportunity for service and charity as we are the only fraternity to have successfully founded and supported its own philanthropy, PUSH America, which is a charity dedicated to serving those with disabilities. Every year, we strive to serve PUSH America through fundraising, accessability projects, and relationships with other organizations committed to the same goals.

Sportsmanship

Sportmanship to Pi Kapps is more than just playing by the rules. It means going that extra mile to make sure that everyone has a good time and that games are played fairly. While winning is always our goal, respecting our opponents as well as our teammates, is our overall objective. We take pride in making sure that everyone gets to play, regardless of ability.
